Ion International Training Center
For the Ion International Training Center redesign, the goal was to break away from standard information heavy layouts and create a fresh, exciting digital experience that truly reflected the energy of youth hockey. The design focused on incorporating dynamic action photography to showcase the passion, speed, and spirit of the sport while bringing the rink atmosphere online. By leaning into an interactive approach, the redesign moved beyond static pages to create an engaging environment that mirrored the fast paced nature of hockey itself.
A central feature of the project was developing an interactive journey map that guided parents through their child’s hockey development, from beginner programs to high school and collegiate levels and even professional opportunities. This tool not only provided clear, valuable information but also made the process visually engaging and intuitive, empowering families to explore the pathways available for their young athletes. The result was a digital experience that informed, inspired, and built stronger connections between the training center and its community.
